Plan B also known as “the morning after pill” is available over the counter and can be ordered online. Plan B is an emergency contraceptive. It can help to prevent a pregnancy. Typically Plan B has to be taken within 72 hours. EllaOne is another emergency contraceptive that protects against pregnancy for up to 120 hours. It is available in Europe and the FDA is currently reviewing.
Mifeprex also known as “the abortion pill” is only available with a doctor’s prescription. Mifeprex terminates a pregnancy that is less than 49 days in duration.
