Over the weekend my fellow Republicans using RNC funds and resources (now do you see why I stopped contributing) put together a little video comparing the Speaker of the House and second in line to the Presidency, Nancy Pelosi, to Pussy Galore. You remember Pussy Galore, right?
In the last week Speaker Nancy Pelosi has been called a bitch, a hag and numerous references to her physical features, clothing and whether she has had a face-lift or botox has been made. All of these “criticisms” are based on the fact that she has a pussy hence the comparison to Pussy Galore.
Pussy Galore was the main Bond Girl in the film Goldfinger. If you get the chance, rent the movie or better read the book. Apparently whoever put together the video did not read the book. Pussy Galore is a lesbian who runs a criminal organization of very flexible like-minded women, The Cement Mixers. In the book Pussy attributes her lesbianism to the sexual abuse she endured as a child at the hands of her uncle.
Now, I do not know much about Speaker Nancy Pelosi but I am pretty damn sure she was not sexually abused as a child (not funny) and she is not a lesbian (not that there is anything wrong with it).
I realize that the ass-hats currently running the RNC have no sense of American history let alone world history and I suppose reading comprehension or the simple understanding of character development in a film is equally difficult. Pussy Galore was not influenced by the typical machinations that normally bring namely men down: women, gambling, drink and drugs. In other words she was no pussy.
Pussy Galore did not take a lot of BS, was above the fray, got the job done and when given the opportunity did the right thing. Correct me if I am wrong but these are attributes we would all like to see in our elected officials.
I am by no means a supporter of Speaker Nancy Pelosi. I firmly believe that she and Harry Reid need to step down. Neither has the leadership ability to do what needs to be done in the House and Senate. Unfortunately that argument will never be made if time is being wasted gender bashing.
If the RNC wants to criticize Nancy Pelosi, then treat her like male opponents have been treated in the past and attack her record. If it has not already attacking her gender is going to backfire.
