Cheap Phone Sex: Spam Bounty Hunters.
You all know how much I hate spam. So much so that last year I closed all of my e-mail accounts. So the only way to reach me electronically is via my feedback form. Personally I think everyone should have a feedback form because it is the only way to control the e-mails you receive.
This week my firm was attacked by another spammer who spoofed my web addresses selling some product that no self-respecting American man would ever purchase. Years ago I would have spent half a day tracking down the spammer and having one of my lawyers have his/her account closed. Today I simply file a report with the local police and forward the incident to my regional FBI office that handles internet fraud. Their attorneys coordinate with my attorneys and a few months later I have a name and address to sue for damages.
The latest situation is more damning because the spammer advertised my PORN web address to millions of people including children. Tisk tisk.

Today I learned about a proposal the FTC is working on to go hand and hand with the anti-spam law (can spam) President Bush signed two weeks ago- bounty hunters! Can you imagine locating spammers and getting a percentage of the fines? I have just one comment - sign me up, baby!
